The Moss World

Paper Texture_edited.jpg

This concept series explores a world transformed by extreme climate change. In the aftermath of rising global temperatures and soaring humidity, nature has evolved in unexpected and wondrous ways. Animals have developed waterproof fur, mucous-coated skin, and porous textures to regulate moisture and heat. Plants have adapted by reshaping their structures—catching, storing, and redistributing water with minimal contact to the saturated soil. Vast colonies of moss have overtaken the terrain, thriving in this new atmosphere and becoming the dominant ground layer, absorbing sound, holding moisture, and housing micro-ecosystems. Every organism in this world has evolved not just to survive, but to belong to a lush, hyper-adaptive biome born from catastrophe.
